Fin- looking forward to an update on your restoration project

the HPA gathers from time to time on zoom calls to share universal information with our group . If you would have the time and energy perhaps we could arrange for 45-60 min of air time for you to introduce yourself and the scope of the work you have addressed to Fin . Hope to hear from you and learn more

best wishes

Hi FIN, Bonni and Tom Funkhouser of Sea Angel here. Last time we corresponded was in August, 2010. Wow, 14 year rebuild! Please post photos and information as soon as convenient. What is Fin's hull number, past names and homeports, etc.? You may hear from Buzz Billik, an owner of a Pilot, Glory, in Maine, who is head of the HPA (Hinckley Pilot Association).

Ahoy from SV SEA ANGEL,
Our daughter is now aboard a Baltic 46 in the Bay of Islands and will be racing in the Sydney/Hobart race. She wanted me to ask where FIN is located. We made it to visit with her in Rarotonga this July and just may be visiting her in October. We hope to meet you then.

Ahoy from USA.
We may be coming to visit Auckland this in July. My daughter Heather is sailing aboard a NZ vessel...http://www.evohe.com/
with a film crew following the traditional sail craft to Tahiti. http://www.sail-world.com/USA/Sails-set-for-Pacific-endeavour/68400.
Let us know if you will be in the water, as we would love to see our sister-ship FIN.
Thanks Bonni and Tom

Greetings from FIN. Sorry I have had computer problems for several weeks and not been able to respond to you.

When does your daughter arrive in Auckland? I am a member of 5 yacht clubs based at Westhaven, Auckland. Some of these have a crew finding service and I can put your daughter in touch with them.

At present FIN is out of the water undergoing major repairs and I will not be able to offer your daughter a sail until June or so. For how long is she staying in New Zealand?

Would a contact phone number for me help? I can send a mobile number which she can txt.

Best regards

Peter Calvert

Ahoy Peter, Our 23 year old daughter will be coming to New Zealand next month with a work visa. She is hoping to find work in the yachting world. She has a 100 ton Coast Guard License and has sailed her entire life. If you have any ideas for her please pass them along. She is great with a varnish brush as well as trimming a jib.
Buzz sent along the info on your boat and we are waiting to see some photos. Anchors aweigh

Ahoy Peter!
We would like you to use your boat name as the registered name rather than your first and last name. Also, we would like your homeport as the official address. Now that you are signed up, it is easy to do. Go to your page, and in the top right-hand green box, click on settings. You will see your name, just change that to your boat's name. Also, under birthday, choose "don't display". Under gender, we prefer you choose "Don't display". If you fill in the zip code for your homeport, it will list that as your city and state. Thanks!
