"I suggest going to yachtdatabase.com and look up specs for the 35.  From memory main sheet is roughly 85 ft which seems lengthy to me but I’m not a rigger "

"According to my Hinckley Pilot sail plan drawing, waterline to masthead is 43’ plus your masthead light and antennae I’d call it 45’ to be safe."

deck vent cap

Also, I lost the deck vent cap overboard, sheet line wrapped around it.  Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement. This is for the solid fuel heater below that vents through deck via a pipe.  Hinckley says they can custom make one but I feel that might be a little pricy.  This is the vent cap not the lid.  Thanks

Hull Speed

Does anyone know the hull speed for a 35.  Sailed mine this weekend in 18-19 knot wind and hit 7+ speed close hauled.

Hi Carol - Sorry for the delayed reply but I just today saw your comment.  The book Pilot 35 came out in May, 1984 and is thus considerably out of date.  This website is intended to bring the book and its owners's listing up to date.  If you can identify your Pilot to me, I will give you as much history of the boat as i have available.  Best email me at don74044@ntelos.net.

Here's wishing you fair winds and following seas.
