Back in '77 Frederique and I bought a 1966 Pilot, originally "Sequence", renamed her "Willow" and owned her for about 14 years.  We were young and an 11-year-old boat seemed antique. For every hour spent sailing a few more were spent maintaining and upgrading, and they were joyful hours and years.

Fast forward another 20 years, making us 34 years older than buying Willow days, looking around at daysailers, maybe a small cruiser, and we discovered the most elegant 35-footer S&S (K. Aage Nielsen, I think) had ever drawn.  Just about the right size for an older (speaking for myself only) cruising couple ...

A few weeks after seeing Pilot 35 "Linéad" in Southwest Harbor, we owned her.  She has been (as "Reggae") nicely maintained and improved by her former owner of 20 years.  We are having a great time planning Maine cruising from our homeport of Georgetown.

And we are happy to be members of the Pilot 35 Websites.  Hope to hear from some of you!
