Sailing Yachts
After almost 10 years of ownership it is time to pass Jaan Too onto another owner. She was repowered with a Yanmar 3YM30AE and has less than 90 hours. She is in excellent condition and moored in Coconut Grove, Florida. All service records are on file and a boat survey was carried for insurance purposes last year.

Everyone should read my article in the 2023 August issue of Points East Magazine about my story with the Pilot. I'm the guy in the centerfold.

I should already know this but does anyone know the bridge clearance height for a sloop. Thank you
After 24 years of ownership it is time to pass Shogun onto another owner. With getting older my wife and I have purchased a Trawler to join many of our friend visiting the ICW each winter.
She is in excellent condition and ready to sail away this spring. Presently under cover on the hard at SafeHarbor Oxford Maryland

Panacea has been stretching her legs after a long winter and refit. What a sweetheart. Fair winds.

For anyone who has not ripped their boat down to the bare hull (inside), this is what they look like! I decided to gelcoat the interior of the hull while I have it all open (you'll notice the spots where the gelcoat is absent: the bulkheads need to be rebuilt beneath the companionway and those bare spots are where the tabbing will go).

Can anyone suggest a vendor that has done a good job and BTW probably still has the measurements and patterns?

She's been purchased by Mike Pope, a Brit living in the south of France. He did the insurance survey after the problem. He may bring her back across

Strummer sailed from Stonington, CT, to the Azores and on to Madeira in June 2018. Then in March 2019 on to Gran Canaria. Ran into problems heading for the Caribbean and forced to leave her in the Canaries.

Can anyone recommend a good sail loft that's familiar with the Pilot? I'd like to replace my hank on 110% and 135% headsails. My local loft(Sarasota) is asking for the original sail plan as a starting point and Hinckley hasnt been able to produce one. Thanks in advance, Daniel

Great to be a member. My wife and I own EDNA: Hinckley Pilot #1229. Keel laid in 1964. We keep her in Westbrook, Ct. on Long Island Sound. She was completely refitted at Brewers Pilots Point in 2015. We’ll post a profile photo soon. We plan on getting Down East Summer 2020, and hope to see Hinckley Pilot members when there.
This season we decided to relocate Egret to the Sarasota/Tampa Bay area via the Okeechobee Waterway. 600ish mile trip from Jacksonville, and since we have a young baby onboard(2 months old when we left)we took the ICW most of the way. We took 4 months to make the trip, stopping for a month in Fort Pierce and again in Fort Myers Beach. If you are under 49' than I highly recommend taking the Okeechobee Waterway, beautiful trip and saves 200+ miles. Here's a few pictures of our adventure. Fair…

I am having my interior bronze ports and other hardware chrome plated. Do you recommend any specific vendors?
Also I am getting wooden shroud rollers. What do you recommend 5' or 6' and ash or teak.

Hello - We are the new owners of Grace, hull #116, one of the yawls. Grace will join another Pilot, Dremel, in Rockport, Maine this summer. I understand that a third Pilot will also be taking up residence in Rockport. This is a big step up for us; we sailed a Stone Horse 23 for the past six years. We have two sons, ages 10 and 13, both capable sailors. The bigger boat will extend our range on Penobscot Bay and free us from hauling camping gear for overnights. We have much to learn and are…
