I just came across this post. I can't find the correspondence on the issue but a few years ago I dealt with our genoa cars and, yes, the thickness of the track is custom. If you call Hinckley in Maine they can give you the details.

Sorry to be late to this exchange. We contemplated replacing TECUMSEH's (#3558) genoa tracks to accommodate the new cars and blocks. As I recall, old tracks are 3/4 inch and the new require one inch. Judy Wilson, now retired from Hinckley's who, at last count, restored 29 Pilots, told us they had done it but it requited chiseling out the fiberglass covering of the hull/deck joint under the joinery, port and starboard. It sounded like a major undertaking which we never did. The hull/deck joint in the Pilot is probably the best in the industry; didn't seem prudent to us to breach and restore it. Maybe they've figured out a better way to do it but I'm not sure how.
Pete - thanks for keeping RAGAMUFFIN (ex SABRA) in such beautiful condition. She and TECUMSEH were mooring mates in Manhasset Bay for many years. And, of course, AUDRA, is one of the jewels of the Pilot fleet.
