Hinckley Pilot 35

Sailing Yachts

I would like to have a downwind sail for Half Moon, and the boat is rigged with a symmetical spinnaker. But given that I sail shorthanded and that I don't see anyone being comfortable with foredeck work and handling that good-sized pole, I am considering a new asymmetrical sail. I love the classic look of a big-shouldered chute on this boat but am having a hard time imagining we will ever use it. Any thoughts on the esthetics/morality of switching, or suggestions for the size of a drifter for this boat (yawl rig)?

I have an asymmetrical with a sock and works great.  Don't need to  fuss with the pole.
