She's been purchased by Mike Pope, a Brit living in the south of France. He did the insurance survey after the problem. He may bring her back across

New owner for Srummer

Strummer sailed from Stonington, CT, to the Azores and on to Madeira in June 2018. Then in March 2019 on to Gran Canaria. Ran into problems heading for the Caribbean and forced to leave her in the Canaries.

Hi Louis,
Thanks! This is great help. Given what you did, I will probably be okay. Did you notice more or less weatherhelm after you did this project?

Thx,
-john

Ahoy from Bonni,
Thank you so much for my sailing adventure aboard Strummer. It was the highlight of my summer and I can't stop telling everyone about our buoy in the fog and getting into Cuttyhunk. When can you come out and sail with us?
We are looking forward to meeting your son soon. I also want to send you a list of folks who have not signed on yet to our network. Anchors aweigh.

Hi Louis,

We are sitting here with Beth at the Billik Round Pond home. I would really like to join you, either from Stonington or the Cape Cod Canal. Just give me details as to when and where I should meet you and what I should bring. Tom will gladly drive Iris. Would you like me to arrive a day or two earlier to help get ready or leave sooner? We will be visiting friends in Cape Cod prior to the sail.

Bonni

Ahoy Louis! The Funkhousers (Tom and Bonni, SEA ANGEL) are in Brooklin ME, Bonni at the Wooden Boat School sailing schooners and H12.5's...We plan on making a trip down to Cape Cod to visit friends in about two weeks, Tom could possibly drive me south and I could crew for you up to Round Pond. What is your ETD? Bonni

Louis, Lone Star left me a message and asked for a suggestion about replacing non tailing Barient primary winches. I'm a bit out of touch but thought you might be the man to offer a suggestion. If you have a suggestion and can forward it to Lone Star it would be appreciated. Hope you are well and feeling a/ok.

I would be honored to sail aboard STRUMMER.
It will be a matter on logistics on our part. Let's keep in touch.

Ahoy Strummer, Buzz tells me that you do the Marion-Bermuda Race. Did you know that the Ning Social network has a site for these races? My daughter who graduates UCLA this month has BIG plans to race SEA ANGEL down the coast in the "Bahaha" next fall and then on the "Puddle Jump" to Tahiti.
We will see if she can raise the funds. She may want to hire you. Oh boy, just when you think you kids give you no more worries! Happy Summer. Bonni Funkhouser

Ahoy Louis, Richard Luete just bought hull# 125 GYGAX in Germany. He also owns a J 44 here in Sausalito so he is quite a racer. He asked me what the fitting on our deck are for. The plates that are between the shrouds and winches. Do you have the answer?
Thanks Bonni
