Some Chilean Piloto 35's

I recently recommissioned the Chilean Piloto 35, YAGAN in Quintero, Chile. In Quintero were 3 other 35's, KARMA, CRUZ DEL SUR and MY WAY. At the Yacht Club de Chile in Vina del Mar, is another 35 that I was unable to identify. We saw the beautiful EQUINOCCIO on the hard in Algarrobo on our way south in YAGAN.

JAAN TOO FOR SALE

After almost 10 years of ownership it is time to pass Jaan Too onto another owner. She was repowered with a Yanmar 3YM30AE and has less than 90 hours. She is in excellent condition and moored in Coconut Grove, Florida. All service records are on file and a boat survey was carried for insurance purposes last year.

For more information feel free to contact me by text first.

Everyone should read my article in the 2023 August issue of Points East Magazine about my story with the Pilot.  I'm the guy in the centerfold.

Patriot Yawl - Add a chain gypsy and dodger

Does anyone have experience adding a chain gypsy to one of these old Ideal windlasses? Also, I'm up on Lake Ontario and all the canvas people have disappeared! Nobody seems to want to make a dodger without access to the boat. Does anyone have a pattern for a yawl and vendor who you think would be willing to make one for me and just ship the frame and canvas / hope for the best? One more question! I am having trouble with water intrusion on my bulwark teak varnish - has anyone gone bare + oil on…See More

Self-tacking headsail

I'm planning to reinstall the original self-tacking headsail system on Fair Wind, my Pilot 35 Yawl. One of the previous owners replaced the self-tacking system with a roller furling genoa many years agonbut luckily kept the original jib boom and traveller. I've just begun the process of trying to find the original sail measurements for that headsail. Does any member have those numbers? Any info appreciated.- Mark AdamsSee More
