Thank you so very much.  I found John Pratt who is back at Hinckley.  Boy, does he know a lot about Pilots and was a real pleasure to speak with.  $1500 for a new Shaft Log.  Oh well at least it will be just like the original.

There are many ways to do things.  Mine are based on the business and time.  The proper thing to do would have been to remove everything, paint the deck and then put the rail on and then the PlasDeck.  As my deck was already painted prior to purchase I put the deck on first, then 2 years later the mahogany was rotting away in so many areas that I decided it had to be replaced.

I store Tara in Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City.  Their prices are ridiculous but I am a slave to the area.  About 3 years ago I had the Plasdeck installed.  I have never been happier. Looks great, low maintenance, softer on the feet and a much better grip a wet surface area.  As you know I run Tara as a charter business and the Plasdeck is a dream at keeping her looking clean and ship shape.
