Feathering Prop

I'm considering installing a feathering prop. Has anyone done so? The hydra align prop was recommended by The folks at Hinckley. I understand that the MaxPro prop requires some work on the rudder to performed.

Don't know about the hydra align but the max prop is too big for the aperture on the Pilot. I had rudder damage and needed the prop rebuilt and enlarged the aperture to fit the max prop. It was a very big job to do it; a lot more than "some work."  Paul Luke in Boothbay makes a feathering prop that might fit.

Thanks. I thought that may have been the case, but was not sure. Think I will look into alternative props. I take it that the MaxProp works well now that it is on?

The max prop (3 blade) is terrific. A bit faster under sail, and much better under power.

Gunga Din. Did you ever reprop your boat? I am looking into folding/feathering alternatives for the fixed prop on Skye. Thanks Bill
