Hinckley Pilot 35

Sailing Yachts

Last year I noticed for the first time that my boat is a bit down in the bow.  I was embarassed to realize that I did not know if this was a new condition.  I searched for old photos that would provide evidence, but being a poor picture taker I found nothing conclusive.

The condition goes away when all the anchor chain is out (and if the fresh water tanks are empty). There is no obvious cause;  nothing heavy in the vberth, no leak or water in the bilge.

Is this condition the norm? Have others dealt with it?  At this point my only thought is to add 100+ pounds of lead weights in the stern, but she's heavy enough already!

Thanks for any help.
